Subject Description | The subject introduces accounting standards, regulation of accounting and the preparation and analysis of accounting reports with particular emphasis on the standards applicable to rural and regional industries. Topics include: the role of accounting standards, development of accounting standards, interaction of accounting standards and the law, regulation of corporate accounting, financial analysis or financial reports, and key accounting standards. |
Assessment | A 3-hour end-of-semester examination (50%) and assessment of tutorial worksheets (30%) and a 2000-word assessment (20%). |
