Subject Description | A program of advanced seminars on a current topic in theoretical linguistics, such as a particular grammatical theory. Subject availability and topic studied vary from year to year depending on the availability of experts in the field visiting the Department. NOTE: Students should contact the department before enrolling in this subject. The 2004 seminar will deal with issues in the description of languages of the Horn of Africa, in particular Somali and other Cushitic languages. |
