116-221 Intermediate Spanish C

Students who have completed 922-211 or 922-213 La Trobe-Spanish Beginners 2A are not eligible to enrol in this subject.

This subject is taught by the School of Languages at the University of Melbourne.

Completion of first year Beginners Spanish or adequate knowledge of Spanish, without completion of VCE Spanish or an approved equivalent. Students should consult with departmental advisors prior to enrolment.

116-220 Intermediate Spanish A.

This subject concentrates on training in listening and speaking skills in Spanish. Listening activities constitute the core of the subject, and are comprised of materials from a diverse range of varieties and registers of Spanish. Students will work individually and in small groups on a range of activities and tasks involving comprehension and production of original materials. Much of this work will be done in the computer-aided language laboratory and the audio language laboratory.

Two 15-minute listening comprehension tests, a 10-minute oral production test, and class participation.
