A 1-hour practical class and a 1-hour laboratory class (directed study) per week

Subject Description

This subject concentrates on training in listening and speaking skills in Spanish. Listening activities constitute the core of the subject, and are comprised of materials from a diverse range of varieties and registers of Spanish. Students will work individually and in small groups on a range of activities and tasks involving comprehension and production of original materials. Much of this work will be done in the computer-aided language laboratory and the audio language laboratory.

Assessment

Two 15-minute listening comprehension tests, a 10-minute oral production test, and class participation.
