A 1-hour multimedia class and a 1-hour lecture/seminar per week

Subject Description

This subject is designed to assist the language learning of students already enrolled in 116-141 Beginners Italian Part 1A. Weekly multimedia classes based on audio, video, music and computer activities will reinforce and improve students listening comprehension and communicative competency. A weekly lecture/seminar will introduce students to Italian culture, including literature and film. By the end of the semester students should have acquired the skills necessary to read and discuss simple literary texts.

Assessment

Three class tests totalling 500 words, a 500-word dictation test and a 1-hour exam.

Prescribed Texts

A subject reader will be available through the Melbourne University Bookshop.
