Subject Description | This subject covers topics such as French identity, assimilation and integration, colonisation and de-colonisation, immigration in France, immigration policies, racism and anti-racism, nationality and citizenship. On completion of this subject, students should be able to analyse critically and synthesise coherently the arguments in the current debate on immigration in France; and discriminate among statements of evidence, interpretations, opinion and facts, regarding the definition and redefinition of the notions of culture, identity, and Frenchness. |
