Subject Description

This subject is a contrastive linguistic study, involving both theory and practice, of Russian and Czech. By the end of the subject students should have a basic understanding of Czech, especially in contrast to Russian; be able to read any Czech texts with the help of a dictionary; be able to pronounce Czech reasonably well; be in a position to continue independently learning to use Czech at all levels.
