Subject Description

This subject concerns the cultural interaction among the lands of the eastern Mediterranean (Greece, Anatolia, Cyprus, Egypt and the Levant) from the earliest settled communities to the origins of civilization. One important goal is to situate the eastern Mediterranean archaeology in a wider context by looking at issues or problems that confront archaeologists working elsewhere in the Old World.

Assessment
