760-301 Independent Writing Project

This is a creative writing (T/P) subject. A quota of 20 students applies to this subject. Selection will be made on the basis of a minimum H2B average in first- and second-year creative writing subjects and, when appropriate, consideration of a project proposal. Students intending to enrol in this subject must first contact one of the subject coordinators.

25 points of second-year creative writing. Concurrent enrolment in, or completion of 760-408 Editing. Students intending to work on the editorial panel of the school's literary journal, VIVID, must enrol in this subject in Semester 2.

Work to be negotiated as a contract between lecturer and student. Individual contracts will be established at beginning of semester.

A writing folio of 4000 words, including workshop activities, attendance and peer editing as assigned.
