Subject Description | This subject is divided into five well-defined but related topics.
In each case the relative advantages and disadvantages of the different techniques will be discussed along with current practical applications. By completion of this subject, students should have a sound understanding of the recording, processing and display of images, with their applications to industrial, medical and commercial environments and the importance of 'images' in the world around them. Furthermore, students should also be able to advise on a suitable form of image capture, recording, processing and display for a wide variety of situations. This subject should also allow students to develop the following generic skills:
