Subject Description	Topics include the relevance of scientific ideas to young children; selected aspects of biological and physical science that are relevant to early childhood educators, with integration of environmental concepts; and identification of appropriate activities and materials to promote science learning in early childhood. For science unit development students will review a sequence of lessons they have designed and implemented.
Assessment	Assignment(s) totalling 2000 words, and a 2-hour written examination.
