Subject Description	This subject presents an overview of selected issues, problems and methods important for the effective learning and teaching of secondary school mathematics. A study of relevant sections of the Mathematics Curriculum and Standards Framework and the VCE mathematics study design as part of an exploration and examination of curricula, classroom techniques, lesson and unit planning, evaluation procedures, teaching resources, technology tools, concrete learning materials, visual aids and methods of presenting important mathematical concepts.
Assessment	Essays and assignments equivalent to 4000 words (100%).
