Subject Description	Upon completion of this subject, students should be familiar with the basic precepts of a particular research topic in mechanical, manufacturing, mechatronic or environmental engineering. The content of this subject will change from year to year and will be used to present new research-oriented topics in mechanical, manufacturing, mechatronic and environmental engineering, and will generally be presented by researchers who are visiting the department.
Assessment	One 3-hour examination, practice classes, tests, assignments, and project reports not exceeding 20 pages including computations, diagrams, tables and computer output. Students will be notified of the weighting of assessment components at the beginning of the semester.
