Subject Description | This subject will introduce students to relevant technology and discuss in depth its significance for conducting business electronically. The business focus will include methods for conducting electronic transactions; more broadly, how to exploit technology to enhance existing business activities for new business opportunities; and the role of agility in business design to exploit opportunities that are enabled by rapid change in technology. Finally, students will gain an overview of the significance of e-commerce to Australia's economy and its impact on rural economies. The subject will provide students with insight into emerging theories and models of e-commerce; case studies; and practical experience with aspects of the technology. |
Assessment | A 3-hour end-of-semester examination (70%) and computer-oriented assignments (30%). |
