Subject Description

This subject considers the significance of a range of sporting events and sporting figures to explore issues of class, race, gender and ethnicity in the formation of an Australian sporting tradition and its place in a global context. On completion of this subject students will be able to appreciate the contribution that sport makes to the economic, social and cultural life of the nation.

Assessment

Class participation, and written work totalling 4000 words.
