Subject Description | This subject will allow students to study key aspects of French civilisation which have shaped 19th and early 20th century French society and culture, through the analysis of graded literary texts. In addition, the subject will give students the opportunity to develop language skills in their cultural context. On completion of the subject students should be able to appreciate key aspects of 19th and 20th century French culture and the development of French society, and have acquired the ability to comment and express opinions on the texts under study and on various aspects of French culture. |
Assessment | A literature and civilisation test equivalent to 1200 words and one written exercise equivalent to 400 words. |
