Subject Description | This subject is a reading course in Chinese medical texts. Selections from classical writings such as the Huangdi neijing (Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine), the Shanghan lun (Treatises on Injury and Cold) will be read and analysed. Other readings will pertain to the role of Chinese traditional medicine in China's current system of health care. Students will also be introduced to the use of a wide range of reference tools which should enable them to independently and confidently handle Chinese medical texts. |
