Formerly available as 110-123 or 158-327. Students who have completed 110-123 or 158-327 are not eligible to enrol in this subject.

Admission to the postgraduate diploma or fourth-year honours in Japanese.

Students should receive a broad grounding in research methods and materials for Japanese studies, particularly in the humanities and social sciences. Students will prepare a research design and annotated bibliography as a preparation for undertaking honours level studies.

Written work totalling 5000 words.
