Students who have completed 110-134 Spoken Chinese 3B, 110-132 Modern Chinese Prose, or 110-135 Chinese Composition and Correspondence are not eligible to enrol in this subject.

Subject Description

This course builds on the knowledge already acquired by students in Chinese in 110-162 Introductory Chinese 3A. It will further develop the range of students' listening and speaking skills; expand their experience of Chinese prose styles; and improve their ability to communicate professionally in written Chinese.

Assessment

A 1-hour examination, a 30-minute listening comprehension test, a 10-minute oral test, assignments and/or tests totalling 1000 words, and class participation.
