110-120 Standard Spoken Chinese 1A
Note	Students who have completed Standard Chinese 1A prior to 2002 are not eligible to enrol in this subject.

Contact	A 1-hour lecture and a 1-hour tutorial per week
Subject Description	On completion of the subject students should develop a good knowledge of the Pinyin system of romanisation, and be able to conduct conversation in Chinese on a limited range of subjects.
Assessment	A 5-minute oral test and a 30-minute listening comprehension test.
