Subject Description | This subject teaches students to speak Modern Standard Arabic at level that will serve them well in almost any Arabic-speaking country. The emphasis is on developing students' speaking and listening skills in the most commonly used form of spoken Arabic. This level focuses on developing students' capacity to identify and repeat words, phrases and sentences heard in meaningful contexts in Arabic, and to communicate with others on a variety of topics. Throughout the subject, students will be provided with models of verbal interaction and ample opportunities to practise them within and without the classroom context. Students will not be given any texts written in the Arabic script. |
