You will learn the terminology/jargon associated and used in editing/publishing, become familiar with proof reading and copy mark-up symbols and conventions. You will follow a manuscript from acquisition, through the various phases of structural editing, copy editing, design and typsesetting mark-up, to production of the final book itself.
