2. Faculty objectives

The general objectives of the Faculty of Law are:

to be the best centre for research, teaching and scholarship in Law in Australia, and among the leading centres for research, teaching and scholarship in law in the world;
to make a significant contribution to ideas, knowledge and learning in the University, Australia, and the rest of the world;
to be a vigorous, fearless and diverse community of legal scholars, as students, teachers and researchers;
to exercise its influence and discharge its obligations in the interests of the wider community, with a particular commitment to justice; and
to maintain a strong commitment to affirmative action and equal opportunity.
