Subject Description | This subject is a continuation of 922-063 RMIT-Vietnamese Introductory Language 1A. It further extends the speaking skills of students in informal daily life situations. It considers Vietnamese traditions and cultural values and pays particular attention to literature prior to 1945. Students who complete the subject should be able to understand and discuss with native speakers practical topics related to the students' interests at a basic proficiency level; be able to read and understand a variety of texts such as non-technical newspaper and magazine articles; and be able to write, with reasonable accuracy, personal letters and short essays. |
Assessment | A book review of 1500 words, an assignment of 1500 words, a 1-hour written test, and a 2-hour oral exam. Students must attend at least 70% of classes to be eligible for assessment. |
