Subject Description | This subject is designed as an introduction to contemporary spoken and written Vietnamese. No previous knowledge of the language is presumed. Students who complete the subject should have an understanding of the basic level of syntactic patterns, vocabulary for practical oral communication and phonology, and an understanding of Vietnamese culture and society. |
Assessment | A book review of 1500 words, an assignment of 1500 words, a 1-hour written test, and a 2-hour oral exam. Students must attend at least 70% of classes to be eligible for assessment. |
