Subject Description | This subject concentrates more on the speech of native speakers with particular attention paid to common idioms, colloquialisms and cultural references in conversation, by telephone and the electronic media. As well as attention to reading and writing skills, students are introduced to contemporary Vietnamese literature from Vietnam and the diaspora from 1975 to 1985. |
Assessment | Progressive oral and written exercises, an essay of 2000 words, a 15-minute class presentation, and a 3-hour written examination. Students must attend at least 70% of classes to be eligible for assessment. |
