Subject Description | This subject is a general introduction to Vietnamese language structures and the cultural heritage associated with the language, including literature of various styles from the 1st century BC to the 17th century AD. Students should be able to understand, discuss, read about and write on, with a good degree of fluency, a wide range of practical and social topics; and have an understanding of the cultural heritage associated with the language. |
Assessment | An assignment of 2000 words, a book review of 1500 words, a 15-minute oral presentation, and a 3-hour examination. Students must attend at least 70% of classes to be eligible for assessment. |
