This subject was previously 3/4RCB: Reading Course B. Students may take no more than one Spanish reading course towards their Spanish major.

Subject Description

A limited number of students studying Spanish may be permitted to take an individual reading subject. After consultation with an appropriate member of staff who agrees to act as a supervisor, students wishing to take this subject should submit to the coordinator details of their proposed topic for approval, including a bibliography and an outline of the project. Approval may not be given if there is a substantial overlap between the proposed topic and the content of an existing subject. Students may enrol in this subject only if they have already completed all other optional subjects available, and have the prior approval of the subject coordinator.

Assessment

Essay/s or a research report equivalent to 4000 words for 3rd year, 5000 words for 4th year, as arranged for each individual student.
