A selection of literature from the present century will be examined together with a brief look at the classical period. Students who complete this subject should be able to understand, speak and write Catalan at an initial intermediate level and have a mastery of key grammatical structures in Catalan.

Assessment

An essay of 1000 words, weekly written exercises, two 20-minute oral presentations, and a 1-hour test.
