Subject Description | A contract between student and staff member will be negotiated and signed at the start of the work. This subject involves intensive periods of time in implementing the project, which will have been defined in the subject Project I. In completing the project report, a high degree of personalised study will be needed in the chosen project area (e.g. a trial, social survey or communication project). On completion of this subject students will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
The procedure for completion of this subject will involve preparation and signing of a 'contract', setting out the objectives and methods of the project, and the targets to be met; an appropriate review of literature; oral presentation of the aims and design of the project to fellow course participants and staff, for review; preparation of a 4000-6000 word document (plan). |
Assessment | Contract preparation (timeliness and conciseness) (20%); oral presentation to course (delivery, clarity and openness to ideas) (30%); written report of project results of 4000-6000 words (50%). |
