Subject Description | On completion of this subject students will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
The content includes farm or small business records, physical records; monitoring financial performance including analysis of physical and financial records and reports to assess farm performance, inter-firm comparisons, taxation implications, management of liquidity and current assets; financing the business, mathematics of the time value of money, capital budgeting, the finance system and sources of debt finance, finance requirements, applying for a loan; auditing principles; and business ethics. |
Assessment | Two reports on a financial management simulation (75%). One assignment on a case study (25%). |
