Subject Description | This subject critically examines the theory/practice relationship in performance studies. It emphasises the processes involved in the translation of text into performance through the voice and body of the actor and the creation of mise en scène. |
Assessment | Work equivalent to 4000 words, consiting of a group devised performance, a critical evaluation of a performance totalling 1500 words, a 1-hour written class test and regular attendance and participation in tutorials and workshops. Minimum 80% workshop attendance required (hurdle requirement). |
