Subject Description | This subject explores the elements of myth and ritual in performance and the relationship of myth to the broader culture. It examines the ways in which myth-making produces meaning in traditional and contemporary culture and the conventions that govern its transformation into performance. |
Assessment | A tutorial paper and oral presentation of up to 15 minutes based on the reading set for the week's topic, to be written up and submitted as a tutorial paper totalling 1500 words, an essay totalling 1500 words and a group devised performance of up to 15 minutes. Minimum 80% attendance required (hurdle requirement). |
