Subject Description | Students will develop a thorough technical background to cope with all stylistic demands. Areas to be covered include advanced study of instrumental or vocal technique and all related aspects of music performance. In addition, classes in the repertoire and materials of the instrument. |
Assessment | A 15-minute technical examination consisting of scales, exercise and orchestral excerpts as prescribed for strings, woodwind, brass and percussion students; a 15-minute technical examination consisting of scales, exercises and studies as prescribed for vocal, keyboard and guitar students (100%). Students must participate as a performer (as determined by the co-ordinator) in concert class, performance class and instrument class as arranged in order to complete the subject. |
