Subject Description | Topics covered include an overview of musical works and ideas in the West from 1750 to the present; and critical and research methods basic to the scholarly study of music. Representative works of the major periods are introduced in their social contexts. |
Assessment | Written projects to a total of 2000 words (50%); end-of-semester examination (50%). |
