Subject Description | This subject has four modules which examine the roles and responsibilities of the physiotherapist as a health care provider and the practice of physiotherapy within the health care system. Professional Issues includes mangement and presentation skills; Occupational Health and Ergonomics addresses issues of risk identification and management in the workplace; Community and Public Health looks at the wider issues of health promotion in populations; and Life Span Movement Disorders introduces the role of the physiotherapist in lifelong disablement, developmental delay and acquired disability. |
Assessment | Three written assignments of no more than 2000 words each (60%). Presentations: oral/poster (40%). |
