Subject Description | Pharmacology topics include mechanisms of action of drugs acting on the CNS, including anaesthetic agents, analgesics, tranquillisers and antidepressants, autocoids and eicosanoids, anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-neoplastic drugs, antimicrobial agents and drugs affecting other body systems. |
Assessment | A 3-hour end-of-semester written examination including questions drawn from both theory and practical components. |
