Subject Description

This subject is designed to develop research skills for students planning and writing criminological theses. The subject explores contemporary criminological research strategies, differing methodological approaches to criminological research, the relationship between theory and research in criminology, and practical issues concerned with designing appropriate thesis topics and their realisation through research. The subject is taught through a combination of lectures, workshops and seminars.

Assessment

Written work totalling 5000 words.
