Subject Description | This subject provides training in carrying out and interpreting empirical research. Students obtain essential skills in research design for both qualitative and quantitative research. Each student will be required to carry out two pieces of research and participate in a small group research project. The class is organised around workshops and computer labs. This subject is particularly suitable for third year students with some prior knowledge of basic research principles. |
Assessment | A final essay of 2000 words and three research tasks totalling 2000 words. |
