126-060 Beginners Swedish A, 126-061 Beginners Swedish B, 126-062 Beginners Swedish C, 126-063 Beginners Swedish D or equivalent.

126-065 Intermediate Swedish B.

This subject builds on skills acquired in Beginners Swedish, and focuses on the spoken language in particular. Students will acquire communicative skills to express themselves in different types of situations, and will also gain an increased understanding of spoken Swedish in a variety of contexts. Emphasis will also be placed on the structure of Swedish so that students will speak Swedish with an increasing level of ease and correctness. On completion of the subject students should have achieved the level of competence required for admittance to 126-066 Intermediate Swedish C and 126-067 Intermediate Swedish D.

A 15-minute oral examination, oral presentations and comprehension tests totalling 1000 words.
