Subject Description | This subject is an introduction to the Swedish language. It focuses on the acquisition of basic reading and writing skills, with emphasis placed on vocabulary and on the basic principles of grammar. Students will develop an understanding of the structure of Swedish so that they can read and write simple texts in Swedish. On completion of the subject students should have achieved the level of competence required for admittance to 126-062 Beginners Swedish C and 126-063 Beginners Swedish D. |
Assessment | A 2-hour written examination, regular language tests and assignments totalling 2000 words. |
