Subject Description | This is a special study based on intensive reading selected from teaching interests within the program covering a subject not already taken or extending knowledge within a subject already studied. This subject should facilitate the student's powers of independent inquiry; develop initiative in self-directed research; increase understanding of an area of anthropology not previously studied, or advance understanding of an area of already established knowledge. |
