Completion of 116-057 Intermediate Italian A, 116-058 Intermediate Italian B and 116-059 Intermediate Italian C or 116-052 Italian Part 1:Language & Culture A, 116-053 Italian Part 1:Textual Studies A, 116-054 Italian Part 1:Language & Culture B and 116-055 Italian Part 1:Textual Studies B.

116-060 Italian Part 2:Cultural Studies.

This subject focuses on the spoken and written language of present day Italy. Students will undertake regular exercises in composition and translation, and other language activities in order to improve their language skills. They will also participate in regular conversation practice for the purpose of reinforcing their command of current idiomatic Italian. By the end of the subject, students should have improved their written production skills, and should be able to express themselves with fluency on most topics of a general nature.

Written tests totalling 2000 words, written work totalling 1000 words and a 1000-word class paper.
