Subject Description | This subject builds upon the linguistic abilities developed in first year (post-VCE) French. It aims at consolidating and expanding the four major language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) by intensive practical training. This is achieved through a variety of activities such as: group discussions, formal study of grammar, discourse forms and vocabulary, creative and factual writing, reading, listening to and watching authentic recorded documents. The materials used will broaden students' knowledge of French and Francophone high and popular cultures. |
Assessment | Oral and written work totalling 2000 words, a 20-minute listening comprehension test, and a 1-hour final written test. |
