Three hours of language classes and one hour of laboratory work per week

Subject Description

This subject involves various exercises and activities designed to consolidate and develop further the linguistic and communication skills gained in first semester. These include grammar exercises, which explore more sophisticated structures (such as argumentation); group work; short presentations; and listening comprehension. Textual studies' classes continue, moving on to the work of Aymé, Ernaux, Sartre, and Robbe-Grillet. Students continue to develop their reading comprehension skills, and build on skills in critical analysis acquired in first semester.

Assessment

Written and oral work equivalent to 1500 words, a 10-minute oral test, a 1-hour written language test, and a textual studies essay totalling 1000 words.
