Prerequisites | 110-107 Japanese 4A or equivalent. New students who have had some prior experience with the language may not enrol unless they have taken a placement test in the week preceding the first week of semester. |

Subject Description | The format of the subject is the same as 110-107 Japanese 4A. A further 300 Chinese characters will be covered. More focus will be on Japanese culture-specific social events and news. Classes will be conducted principally in Japanese. |
Assessment | Assignments and quizzes totalling 1000 words, and a 2-hour examination, and a 20-minute oral/aural perception test. Extra written work totalling 1000 words for 4th year. Students are required to attend a minimum of 70% of all classes in order to be eligible to take examinations. |
