Subject Description | In this subject students should develop global language skills necessary to understanding authentic Indonesian language transmitted through a variety of popular and non-print media, e.g. radio, television, film and the internet. Topics will cover a variety of current affairs in Indonesia, including gender and ethnic issues. Information accessed through these media will form the basis for critical discussion and student projects in Indonesian. |
Assessment | Written work totalling 500 words, a 10-minute aural/oral test and a listening test equivalent to 500 words. Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of all classes in order to be eligible to take the examination. |
