1. Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary Stream) is a one-year full-time or two-years part-time course. The course is only available to graduates who complete the Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies between 1995-2005 at the University of Melbourne. The course will enable these graduates to upgrade their qualifications for registration as early years teachers in primary schools. Students will complete 45 days of supervised practicum in schools in conjunction with learning area and education studies.

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies (400 points); or Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies (350 points) and a Graduate Certificate of Early Childhood Studies at the University of Melbourne between the years 1995 - 2005.
