First year subjects
The Melbourne College of Divinity (MCD) offers a range of subjects to Bachelor of Arts students. The subjects are taught at and by the Associated Teaching Institutions of the Melbourne College of Divinity. These institutions are:

Interested students should note the following:
the subjects are offered on an up-front fee basis (approximately $350 per semester unit; the subjects are not offered through the HECS scheme). No fee exemptions are currently available. For information on the fee for each subject please contact the respective institutions or the MCD (see address below);
special entry conditions apply, and entry to each subject must be approved by the relevant teaching institution of the College of Divinity and the Faculty of Arts;
each institution has its own handbook and the subject descriptions listed below are only some examples of the subjects available (Students should note that if a subject is not taught in a particular year at one institution it may be available at others.);
subjects listed as a double semester unit (25 points) at one institution may be made up of two single semester units (12.5 points each) at others; and
information regarding subject timetables and teaching locations will be available from the respective institutions.
Students undertaking the Bachelor of Arts are permitted to enrol in a range of subjects offered outside the Faculty of Arts, however students must complete a minimum of 50 points of first year subjects in areas of study approved by the Faculty of Arts. Combined course students are not usually eligible to enrol in these subjects. Students should consult a Faculty of Arts course adviser for further information or, see The arts-approved subject requirement for combined courses.
