Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to extend participants' ability to:
The content includes crop environmental requirements, greenhouse energy balance, functional requirements, greenhouse design, covering materials, modification of the greenhouse environment, environmental control equipment, heating systems, ventilation systems, cooling systems, computer based control systems, solar greenhouses, alternative energy sources, water distribution systems, materials handling equipment, greenhouse operation and management. |
Assessment | 1-hour examination (30%); two assignments of 500 and 2000 words (10% and 60%). |
