Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to extend participants' ability to:
The content includes simple storage design of sheds, silos and bunkers; capacity calculation and measurement; grain handling equipment including augers, elevators, conveyor belts, pneumatic conveying, grain cleaners, mixers, dryers, hammermill, roller mill; grain pest identification and control, disease identification and control, correct and safe use of pesticide application equipment, economics, cost of storage; and milling operations. |
Assessment | 2-hour examination (60%); assignment of 2000 words (40%). |
